Established in 1931, the Barrington Garden Club is a dynamic all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization.
Our purpose is to serve the community through conservation of our natural resources, promote best practices to protect our environment, support education through community partnerships and stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening.
Barrington Garden Club offers many ways for its members to become involved.
Monthly membership meetings are held in the Salem Family Auditorium
at the Barrington Public Library and are open to the public.
Annual Custom Wreath Sale
Even if you haven’t heard of the Barrington Garden Club (501c3), surely, you’ve admired our handiwork! We weave beauty into the fabric of our town, nurturing eight public gardens that bloom in splendor.
Each winter, we transform the town’s buildings and the gazebo by Wood’s Pond into a winter wonderland, adorning them with vibrant garlands, wreaths, and bows to spread joy and holiday spirit. Supporting the BGC today, helps us continue to make 02806 a wonderful place to live!
What We Do
The Barrington Garden Club participates in community activities, manages and cares for town gardens, organizes monthly education sessions and trips, works with the next generation of gardeners at the middle school in our Hampden Meadows Youth Group and much, much more.

Our Care
For over 60 years, The Barrington Garden Club has designed, maintained and financially supported eight highly visible gardens located throughout the center of town. The gardens have been designed and redesigned over decades and plant material is selected with conservation and the environment in mind.
Membership
Joining a garden club is a great way to “green” your thumb. Membership also provides an opportunity to expand your interests and build lifelong friendships while bettering your community and the environment.

The Town of Barrington has created a Demonstration Resilience Garden in Town Center. The project was developed in partnership with volunteers from various organizations including the Barrington Garden Club.
