In 1991, Barrington Garden Club members selected the Aquilegia (columbine) for the club seal. Talented artist and club member Alice Roy designed the new seal, which debuted in our 1994-1995 yearbook. This popular and hardy perennial has gray-green leaves and blooms in a variety of colors.

The Osprey remains our club bird. It is a large bird with a white head similar to the Bald Eagle, but with a broad black cheek patch. This fish hawk has a wingspan of four to six feet, and it is the only raptor that plunges regularly into our waters. Osprey nests are now seen in Hundred Acre Cove and throughout Barrington.
