Demonstration Resilience Garden

The Town of Barrington is creating a Demonstration Resilience Garden in Town Center. The garden will not only serve as a lovely addition to Town Center but also as a valuable educational resource for the community. Volunteers can help plant pollinator-friendly native plants without needing prior knowledge, with flexible volunteer hours to suit availability. Together, we can cultivate a space that promotes biodiversity, supports local wildlife, and inspires a deeper connection to the natural world. Join us in sowing the seeds of resilience and beauty in the heart of Barrington!

The project was developed in partnership with volunteers from various organizations including the Barrington Garden Club, the Barrington Land Conservation Trust, the Barrington Public Library, the Peck Center, the Barrington Resilience and Energy Committee, the Barrington Open Space Committee, the Barrington Pollinator Pathway Committee, and young leaders from Barrington. Funding for the project comes from a People's Garden Grant provided by the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District.
