Grow Your World & Green Your Community:
You’ll Find Much More Than a Garden Variety of Activities

Our Vision

The Barrington Garden Club’s vision is to continuously serve and educate the public and each other about the beauty and natural resources in Barrington, RI and surrounding communities.

Our Mission

  • Design and cultivate eight town gardens

  • Sponsor our Junior Garden Club

  • Remember Barrington homebound friends with seasonal floral arrangements

  • Decorate the RI Veterans' Home in Bristol for the holiday season

  • Provide seasonal and holiday decorations on public buildings

  • Provide library with weekly seasonal arrangements

  • Maintain and manage Osamequin Nature Trail and Bird Sanctuary

  • Collaborate with likeminded organizations such as Save the Bay, the Barrington Land Conservation Trust and the Audubon Society

  • Support education by donating to the Community Scholarship fund providing programs, trips and workshops to members and the public

Our club meets monthly and offers a wide range of top-notch educational programs. Topics cover the latest gardening techniques for flowers, shrubs, trees, vegetables and house plants; organic gardening; landscape and floral design; creating ponds and water features; conservation and environmental education; and the study of birds, butterflies and beneficial insects and how to attract them.

We also offer workshops and trips to enhance our knowledge of horticulture, garden design, and conservation.

Joining a garden club is a great way to “green” your thumb. Membership also provides an opportunity to expand your interests and build lifelong friendships while bettering your community and the environment.
